| Skyblock Mods List | Recommended Skyblock Client Mods | Nexan | 2.0.0 |
Summary
This is a list of recommended mods for use on a client for Nexan's Skyblock Server. There will also be a few Resource Packs for the sake of quality of life or utility.
Mods
Some of these mods are going to be just obvious for why they're recommended. Many of the "staple" mods that are in fabric-based modpacks are still recommended, sometimes required, but this list is specifically things that would be helpful or are otherwise required for the server. Required mods will be marked as "Required" and some might have a small explanation.
- BetterF3
- Chat Heads -shows peoples head/face in chat next to their name
- Chat Signing Hider
- Controlling - Required; used to easily configure keybinds
- Emotecraft - Totally optional, but if you want to have emotes in Minecraft, use this.
- Entity Model Features - Only required if you want to use Just Expressions, Fresh Animations, or Fresh Moves
- Entity Texture Features - Only required if you want to use Just Expressions, Fresh Animations, or Fresh Moves
- Inventory Essentials
- Litematica - If you plan to use someone else's design for a farm or you want to design a build off the server and build it a lot easier.
- Locator Heads - Show peoples Minecraft Face in the locator bar
- MiniHUD - Similar to BetterF3, but smaller, less-obtrusive, and super customizeable. Includes a Light Level Overlay as a feature, among so many others. Seriously, check this out.
- Mod Menu - Required; Specifically, this is required to best configure mods.
- No Chat Reports
- Resource Pack Options - Only works on certain Resouce Packs to turn features On or Off without reloading the whole pack.
- Simple Voice Chat - Required
- SkinShuffle - For fun, if you wanted to change your skin without relogging from the server.
- Status - Required
- Stendhal - Lets you write and edit books and signs easier.
- Stfu - Allows you to turn off some annoying things, like loading screens, turning toasts off, and many more. Read the mod page for more information
- Voxy - Only use this if you want to see literally the whole server map in the world. If you remember Distant Horizons, it's the same kind of mod, but more modern and proper.
- Xaero's Minimap
- Xaero's World Map
Resource Packs
- Fresh Animations
- Fresh Moves
- Just Expressions - Want your eyes to move a bit and blink? This requires the Fresh Moves and Fresh Animations Resource Packs, as well as the Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features mods.
- Hoffen's Minimal Armor - Show off your skin! NOT LIKE THAT!
- Bray's Better Books- While not the most Vanilla way of showing the differences between enchanted books, it is a really easy way of showing the differences without having to hover over each one.
- Vanilla Tweaks - If you want a customized Resource Pack, check this out. NOTE: there are some resource pack options that are slightly "cheaty" in nature, like Ore Borders, making Suspicious Sand and Suspicious Gravel more obvious, and making String/Tripwires more visible, and more. However, other options are incredibly helpful, like the Brewing Guide in the GUI, Hunger Preview, and some Redstone-related things.
- Redstone Tweaks - Something you can turn on-and-off when you need it if you work on redstone.
